A power inverter, or inverter, is an electronic device or circuitry that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The input voltage, output voltage and frequency, and overall power handling depend on the design of the specific device or circuitry. The inverter does not produce any power; the power is provided by the DC source.

This is the best output waveform you can get out of an inverter and all appliances are able to run off it without interference or overheating. Some of its advantages are as follows:

Solar Energy Australia (SEA) are a comprehensive range of DC - AC Inverters to produce an AC output from almost any battery source.

Unlike many inverters available their range offers TRUE SINEWAVE output. This output is as good as if not better than the quality of mains electricity, this will ensure that your inverter will not shorten the life of your appliance by placing extra strain on it from excessive distortion. Many Inverters have an output described as Modified Sinewave or Modified Square wave, these inverters can have as much as 40% distortion. Where as an SEA Sinewave Inverters will have as little as just 4% distortion, the extra distortion from a modified Sinewave may result in extra heating of your appliance, excessive noise both electrical and mechanical, lines on Television screens and a shortening of the life of your appliance.

SEA Piccolo Inverter

SEA Bolero Inverter

When your need for power starts to get serious, SEA Bolero Solar Stand Alone Inverter provides muscle in a compact size.

Its specifically designed, low mechanical profile is slim enough to fit under vehicle seats, yet SEA Bolero Solar Inverter provides up to 1100 watts of continuous power.

A 3-mm thick aluminium base with a powder-coated cover protects the SEA Bolero inverter from the elements. Generous 5-minute ratings allow short-term use of small microwave ovens. A 10 amp power point is fitted as standard, hardwiring is optional.

The Latronics PV Edge 1200 and 2500 Series Inverters utilises use a versatile panel setup known as parallel string configuration.

The Powerhouse

Higher yield due to work-sharing is achieved by linking the two power circuits using the MIX™ concept, our optimised master-slave system. In the part-load range only one of the two power stage sets operates, while both work together at full-load. The advantages are a noticeable increase in yield with a simultaneous reduction in operating hours.

As the input voltage range of the Fronius IG 60 has been expanded from the former 500 V to 530 V, longer module strings can be connected. Due to this improvement, the product name changed from “Fronius IG 60” to “Fronius IG 60 HV”. “HV” stands for “High Voltage”.

Fronius Datalogger Easy Card

Datalogging requires a Datalogger card be installed in one inverter in the system, or an external Datalogger Box attached to a COM card in the inverter. The Datalogger card stores the data collected from the inverters and any of the optional weather sensors, and connects to a PC or an external modem to allow you to monitor your PV system from anywhere in the world. Two versions of the Datalogger Box are available. The Datalogger Easy monitors one IG inverter. The Datalogger Pro can monitor up to 100 Fronius IG inverters.

Fronius Interface Card Easy

The Fronius Interface Card easy provides an open protocol for use with the free software program Fronius Interface or by third-party communication systems and does not require a Datalogger or ComCard to function. The Interface Card easy is able to provide data for one Fronius inverter without storage. Does not operate at 277 VAC.

The Fronius Interface Card easy has a serial interface with an open data protocol, that enables following data from one Fronius IG inverter to be downloaded and processed:

The Interface Card easy is not a LocalNet-component, therefore it does not require a Com Card and Datalogger. The Interface Card easy offers following advantages:

The Interface Card easy can be used for Fronius IG serial numbers 14330071 and higher following a software update. The software update is not required for serial number 1715xxxx and higher.

In the case of an older Fronius IG, a hardware update is required in addition to the software update.

Fronius Irradiation Sensor

This sensor is for measuring the irradiated energy and is in most cases fixed on the frame of the solar module.

Comparison of the irradiated power to thus of the inverter gives a rapid overview on the proper operation of the pv-system.

Mounting tip: The sensor comes fixed onto an aluminium profile with an 8 mm hole. Thus screwing onto the module frame is very easy. Please mind, that the sensor does not cast any shadow on the module.

Fronius Module Temperature Sensor

In general this sensor measures the temperature on surfaces. By fixing the sensor on the back side of the pv-module, the module temperature can be told.

The temperature of the pv-module is one of the decisive facts for the power output. By supervision, the pv-owner can draw conclusions to the performance of the power chart.

Mounting tip: It is recommended to fix the sensor and the cable with an additional adhesive tape.
